Cecil Jordan
was a
Texas legend among debate coaches. Cecil was a supporter of all students,
not only those who won rounds. He encouraged teamwork, leadership, and loyalty
among all other traits. The Northeast Texas Debate Association created the Cecil
Jordan Memorial Scholarship to honor the traits that he embodied.
Requirements:

Participate in a speech and debate program for a minimum of three years
* Compete in at least one NTDA-sanctioned tournament each year. (Note:
it is NOT required that the student compete in the NTDA
Championship Tournament.)
* Be nominated by coach. (No more than one student may be nominated from
each school each year.)
